Bail Me Out....Please

I need your help.

I have a reputation for being a rather vile individual, bereft of those elements that elevate man from the muck from which he evolved. But I want to change. Dearly.

To make that next step on the evolutionary ladder, I must do a good deed. You can help me embrace the inner teddy bear by helping me make bail by giving to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Just click on this website and shake loose some change. I'm talking to you Wayne, Sidney, Charles, SQT, Travis, Deslily. I'm whispering to Kate, Jim Miller, Jon Zech, and Sue Miller. I'm calling out to Crunchy, Pat, Gem, Bond, Spyscribbler, Rick, William, Deborah, Chuck, and to all the others who occasionally come visit and comment.

And in addition, I'm asking that you also do a posting on your own blog, directing them to help you help me in my plight by donating to this cause. Please feel free to paste the above link to help direct them. Show that the blog community is a real community and that giving isn't out of style.

Oh, Stewart, Stewart. What a quandary you've put me in.

You've played on my desire to help others, yet how can I trust that you've truly changed? Do we dare risk setting you lose on society again? Has there been no bail hearing to prove you're no longer a menace to society?

You're forcing me into a moral dilemma - truly diabolical of you, which suggests you have NOT changed.

Another little piece of my soul slips away as I make a deal with the devil...

Ah, Kate, why must evil be so seductive? Why must I revel in badness? Why must I run with scissors and deliberately mispronounce the lyrics to David Bowies' "All The Young Dudes"? WHY?

Kate...I changed the link to the website. The current link is the right one. So anybody cutting and pasting, or clicking..the one there now is the one to use. Thanks.

I can do this. I have to take the kids to school right now, so I'll have to put up the link when I get home. But it'll be up today.

Stewart, I'll put up the link and see if I can scrape up a few bucks. My "giving" money typically goes toward Multiple Sclerosis or United Way.

Charles, much appreciated. I usually only donate to animal shelters and to cancer research, but sometimes I step outside that circle and switch up for something else.

I always knew that one day we would be called to bail you out in one way or another.

Donation made.

I put up you link too. I wish I could help more, but unfortunately it's all for the moment. My father is also sick. Parkinson disease, 10 years now. It affects his muscles as well and it is very hard. So I do understand it's for a good cause.

This is a charity near and dear to me. I've been contributing money and time since I was a wee tot.

thanks all who have donated thus far...Susan and SQT. I'm a little disappointed by the response,I must say. Starting tonight I am hitting my family for scrap for the donation drive. Hopefully more people will come forward here and open their pockets a little...five dollars...ten?

Okay, Stewart, I made a contribution to help spring you. Yes, we're a real community. Thanks for asking us to put our money where our mouths are. My pleasure, my friend. But next time you're busted, you are on your OWN.

Stew, I'll give it a try as soon as I can. I meant to the other day and was distracted by packing. Of course, I discovered my credit card had expired when I tried to book a hotel room last night, but that's another story...

(I'm sneaking on at work now - can't stay. Thanks for your comment on my blog)

You don't know my DH very well, do you? LOL ..I will try! I have a little royalty check coming ... last April, so when it comes! Remind me, if I forget! Seriously.

A karmic bail out is much better than what first came to mind when I read the post's title. I'm not so sure those stains will wash from your hands Stewart,:), but the cause is worthy, and I can now say I "bailed you out." I'll just not mention the form of bail out.

...And a man can't see evil in one glance. Least a good man can't. Even a little peek will stain him for life. It will pull at him and fight with him and try to make him rotten...
