Crazy People and Hernias

You will have noticed my dwindling postings and comments. I'm afraid my schedule and energies are pulling me elsewhere at this time. I will be spending time focusing on work, writing, and other activities.

This won't be a long vacation. I shall still be visiting some blogs, though nowhere as faithfully and as many as before. I will also hopefully be exchanging emails with people.

Perhaps when Easter rolls around, I'll return to my old ways.

Until then, I'll be around. Just not so much.

You're just setting a good example Stewart.

Of course I have no idea what the title of this post is supposed to mean.

I'll miss your posts!

Life happens. What can you do? I hope it's happening well for you! Or, at the very least, as well as possible!

don't even get me started on hernias. crazy story in my life involving that, too. i think that those were scars 32 and 33, then 34.

Get some good writing done.

You'll be missed. I understand, though - doing much the same myself these days. Be well.

Take care Stewart. Good luck with the publishing:)

To be honest, I haven't noticed. This is mostly because I haven't been around all that much to notice, in fact I am so far behind in blogging I still have to read more than half of the last challenge participants. so I understand completely! Get some good writing done!

Letting work interfere with your blogging life, old friend? Where oh where are your priorities?

Stewart, You are missed.

Good luck with everything. Let us know when the book is published.

Do you have a hernia, or are you just crazy? I can relate to the latter, not the former.

Have a great break.

Some people say I'm crazy and I have had two hernias. Is this post about me or am I crazzzzzy. HAAAAAAHAAAAHAAAAAAHAAAAAhhAAHAHAHA.

Meredith said...

Well, that will give me a chance to get caught up on all the writing assignments you've given that I want to write, I do! But I just haven't got around to.
Now, get to work!

Stewart, no apologies necessary. Work is work, and we all have priorities. Good luck with your other efforts. Hopefully you'll get some blogging fire back after Easter. And don't be a stranger as I have been recently (for similar reasons as you cited), but if you are I understand.

Take care and I'll cathc you when you get back.

Just back this morning to say I still miss you.

Ha! Only 27 comments?! Where's the love, people?

I mean, Stewart's left us loose to knock about in here (oops, sorry Charles, didn't mean to bump you), and many of us are semi- or more-than-hemi-demi writers, and we haven't yet loaded the Comments Kitchen with empties, cookie crumbs, and tales to amuse our Muse-laden life-burdened friend?

I'm going to run out and get some more snacks (Wayne, what was that you brought? I think we should get some of that, only hotter)...I'll be back in a while, hope y'all are just getting the party started!

Susan Miller said...

Here Lori, I've got the cheeseball, some wheat thins and a bottle of red. Maybe we could make up some type of chain comment describing what he must be doing out there in the real world...frightening to think what could be happening. What powers must he be unleashing at this moment?

I miss his humor and his pictures and the way he brought so many together right here. Someone take this cheeseball, please!

SQT said...

I'll take the cheeseball if only to go with the wine.

I miss Stewart too.

miller580 said...

Hey, whats this a half eaten cheeseball and an empty bottle of red?
come on now guys, if your gonna party in a friends house, you should at least pick up after yourselves.

Bye the way, does anyone else see the coincidence of Stewart's sabbatical and "Spring Break"?

I've called some friends down in Miami and asked them to keep an eye out for him. It's dangerous out there with all those bikinis lurking about.

Susan Miller said...

Miller, take it away...PUHLEEZE. My head is pounding. I think I may take a nap. Red wine does me in.

Miami, you think? I was sorta hoping that he was off writing erotica novels with Mrs. Sternberg. Obviously, I'm a hopeless romantic.

Christina said...

I understand that. I haven't been able to do much in the last couple of weeks. I never realized how deprived I was until I picked up one of my (fun) novels and just started reading. I still have guilt towards not finishing the things on my schedule. I'm going to get to them this week, but I'm not holding my breath on finishing anything big. I was hoping to have the editing done by now.

Happy Writing!

Whew! Sorry it took me so long! (Sound of car door thunking shut, loud rockabilly music muting.)

Susan, SQT! I have some fizzy water and snacks for y'all...

Oh.

Hello?
Hello?

(Refrigerator humming.)

Well, guess I'll just leave a note...

"Hey all y'all -- it's finally sunny in lovely Central Texas, so I'm going for a ride. Fresh snacks and something less head-achey than red wine's in the fridge. If you see Stewart, tell him I said hello!

Have fun,
Lori W."

There. Gotta get back before my new good buddy decides to take his hot-rod on down the road...

(Door slams shut, engine revs, car door thunks and gravel sandpapers beneath tires...)
